Rural Addressing Rural Addressing

Rural Addressing is an addressing system implemented across Queensland by the Queensland Spatial Information Office with the aid of the local governments of the state. The implementation of rural addressing both physically through signposting and computationally within rates and geographic information systems, is not only assisting in saving lives but also is enhancing the quality of life for rural communities.

If your rural property has not been addressed, please contact the Central Highlands Regional Council – Capella Office on 1300 242 686.

To ensure that both rural and urban addressing systems are effective property owners should ensure that the address numbers are placed in an appropriate position and are clearly visible from the access roadway. The maintenance of the addressing numbers is the responsibility the property owner – not Central Highlands Regional Council.
