The Capella Parklands extend north along the Gregory Highway from the heritage listed railway station and on to the banks of Capella Creek. The Parklands feature the bottle tree avenue along the highway and a meandering walking path that takes you passed history information signage on Capella and the surrounding Peak Downs District.
The Parklands encompass the Light Horse monument recognising the origins of the Australian Light Horse emu plumes with Capella. The Capella Geo-park sits on the Capella Creek bank and from there you can walk eastwards along the creek to see if you can spot some of the 115 bird species that can be found there.
On the eastern side of the highway, you can enjoy the Capella Pole Murals.
Public conveniences are located to the south of the railway station.
